George R. Melnyk, Jr. is the Vice President of Premier Millwork and Lumber Co., Inc. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1990 with a B.A. in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. George has been around the business since the age of six and has committed full time service for 20 years. He spent all of his summers and breaks during high school and college working in the shop to learn the family business. After graduating from Notre Dame, he joined the Premier team as a full time Estimator. Once he learned the estimating side of the business, George transitioned into Project Management. After years of mentorship under his father, George was promoted to Vice President. Today, he continues to manage the production and operation aspects of the business. George enjoys the challenges of managing projects from beginning to end. While it is a stressful business, he takes pride in manufacturing and installing a quality product for his customers. Whether the project is a school, hospital, church, office building or hotel, George believes that Premier is leaving a legacy in the community with every project they complete. Some of George's more memorable projects include the Restoration and Renovation of the Governor's Mansion in Richmond, Virginia, the Corporate Headquarters for Smithfield Foods in Smithfield, Virginia and the Copacabana Nightclub in New York City.
